Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!!
Surprisingly, the thai-chinese seems to be more active this year for the CNY, at least i heard a lot fire cracker sound all the time in the new year eve.
Went to have dinner at my teacher's house for the CNY's eve, together with my friend that from Beijing Was there around 3, to help up for the cooking. Of course, i cant do it, hahaha, most of the time was just helping my friend. We had the dumpling, 'gong bo gai ding', 'tong cou gai', and some dished for drinking.
Was told by my friend that CNY MUST have dumpling... that's the reason we started to cook so early... He said that's the tradition, MUST eat. hahaha... Other than all the food, we also finished up 3 bottles of wines, 1 whisky and a lot beers.
First day of New Year.. nothing much, because need to go to the Siam Paragon campus for a masterclass and recital. BUT we had a very ncie dinner after that, and spent a lot for that dinner. Luckily, the college paid for it, because we suppose to 'take care' the guest for his dinner. hahaha...
And finally got to meet up with one of my friend on the 2nd day. She's a harpist from Shanghai, study at Germany, but now having some gigs here at Bangkok. We never meet each other, though we have contacting each other since last October, for some events in the music college. Was nice to meet her, and talked little bit.
Basically, this is my new year... haven't got a chance to go to the China Town to check out the decoration and festive environment... maybe, this weekend? ha
