waiting...

waiting...searching...waiting...searching... for? sponsorship. haha

The Quartet is now the finalist for the Osaka competition. But one of our member cant make it due to the financial problem. We really hope to go for it, but at the sametime i don't want to force my member to borrow money around for the competition. So we're trying hard to find sponsorship.

Is funny that, right after we got in for final, many people start calling us to perform. Which is a good thing, then we get more money. But look at the economy situation here at Thailand, being paid 1000baht for 2 hours gigs is already consider at the high range. So to collect 40,000baht per person to attend the Osaka competition within this short period is...hard. haha

Was doing another performance yesterday, and i let my bari player to select the repertoire for one hour program. Thought wanna give him some chance to experience on how to handle it. Not bad, though sometime i think he tends to choose more slow and easy piece, which makes the audience feel a bit boring. But still a good attempt to try out. Perhaps will slowly push him more for making decision like this.

And myself...kinda lay back a bit for all the work...wanna calm down from many things, and sametime wanna try out some other things. And also glad that someone come in at this moment. ha.

So...keep on waiting...searching...

*sigh!!!*

The Quartet just did another performance yesterday, at the Stock Exchange Auditorium. I guess this is the best we played so far, feel good, nice interaction between the members of the Quartet.

But then, is such a bad organization concert. We were told to do this concert, two weeks ago, for fund raising. So, handed in all the info week ago, get ourself ready, rehears... You know what, not until last Thursday, the head of Activities office rush to me and say, 'hey what about the concert? where is the program book, press release, poster?' What the hell are you talking about? And why you asking me? Arent you the one who do all these? Ended up i have to work with the Public Relation people to work out all these. Is not that hard, just get your ass on the chair, spent one or two hours on the computer, and that's it! So!

Finally we didnt get the poster out, because is way too late to have it. We had the press release letter out on Thursday, of course we dont expect the newspaper will have it on the day after. And it might be too late to submit it also.

Then yesterday the concert. haha, you know how many audience we have? 25. yea 25! And they are all the parents of the performers. So it actually means no outsider came! Even the auditorium people not sure about our concert. So what happen there? And after the concert, the head still dare to come to us and say, 'Our Director just sms me, said he cant come. Haha, good!' Good?!!! What's in your mind?

Sometime....really sick of all these....i wont say only here, it happend everywhere. Why cant those people just get their fat ass sit down, and use their rotten brain to think, and start doing things?

Update 1/8/06

Haha, i'm running out of idea on what to put on the Subject list...

Just finished the mid term week. I scored an A for the Orchestration class, which happen to be the only class i have this semester. But now have to start working on orchestrate a Sax + Piano piece by Alfred Reed for the Wind Band. Yea, i love Alfred Reed. Is now trying to get his CDs, his music sheet with me, so that can really see how he did it. But i do hope i have enough time to finish it. Haha

And yesterday is the Saxophone Quartet Concert. Is my first time to take up the lead for almost the whole concert. hoo, it was fun! I really love the quartet playing. So, CH, i do agree with the ensemble playing....guess i'm more to ensemble playing as well? haha.
